What is ‘Email Transfer’ on Interac e-Transfer?
Email Transfer is a feature of Interac e-Transfer where you receive a notification by email or SMS when a transfer is pending your acceptance.
You will be required to answer a security question before the funds are deposited. This means the withdrawal will not be automatically deposited in your bank account.
How to Accept Your Funds
- When your withdrawal is approved, you’ll receive an email and SMS with instructions to accept the transfer.
- Log in to your online banking portal and follow the instructions provided.
- Answer the security question to complete the transfer.
- Once accepted, your funds will be credited to your bank account within 1–3 business days.
