How to Clear Cache and Cookies on Desktop and Mobile Devices?
Running into slow loading or pages that won't cooperate? A buildup of cached data and cookies is often the hidden culprit behind these common issues. Over time, your browser and apps store temporary files to speed things up, but when that data gets outdated, it can interfere with your gameplay.
The good news? Clearing your cache and cookies is a quick, easy fix that refreshes your experience and gets everything running smoothly again. Here's how to do it on any browser or device.
How to Clear Cache and Cookies in Browsers
- Chrome: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Clear Browsing Data.
- Firefox: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies & Site Data > Clear Data.
- Edge: Go to Settings > Privacy > Clear Browsing Data > Choose What to Clear.
- Safari: Open the Safari Menu > Clear History > Select your desired timeframe.
How to Clear Cache in the App
Refreshing the app works a little differently depending on your device.
On Android, you can clear the cache directly from your device settings.
Go to Settings > Apps > Select the App > Storage > Clear Cache.
On iOS, the best way to refresh is to reinstall the app:
- Press and hold the app icon, then tap Remove App > Delete App.
- Reinstall the app from the App Store and log back in.
Please note: Clearing your cache and cookies (or reinstalling the app) will sign you out of most sites and apps, so have your login details handy before you begin.
